Edugames Ltd is the company behind Brit Quiz. This company was established in NZ in 2006 to design, produce and distribute educational games internationally. The UK company Edugames Limited was established in 2009 to distribute and sell Brit Quiz and other games in the UK.
The people behind Edugames are David & Margaret Allis, and their 6 wonderful children (age 8 to 23). Margaret is a Brit (from Leeds) & David's family are from Durham. They live down-under in Auckland, New Zealand.
With six growing children, David & Margaret know the value of education. They have spent years playing a wide variety of games with their children - so they know what works & what doesn't work.
The first game produced was Kiwi Quiz in 2006 (designed for New Zealand of course). Kiwi Quiz has proven very popular amongst the 4 million inhabitants of NZ, and is now in its sixth print run. It has been very popular as a family game, and is also used as a classroom resource in hundreds of NZ schools.
Kiwi Quiz was followed by Time Zone in 2007 - a chronology game designed for NZ.
Then in June 2009, a third NZ game was released - Discover NZ. This is proving very popular for tourists & travellers in NZ. In December 2010, a Maori translation of Discover NZ is being released.
Brit Quiz has been in process for about 2 years, including an intensive six months of research & question writing by a team of four researchers. We are confident that it will become a popular game & educational resource in the UK.
